正式成立 Officially registered as a society

我会在成立的初期，租用笌笼3巷的一间简陋的屋宇作为学会的活动场所。
After 5 years of planning, the Society rented a house in Geylang Lorong 3 for its activities.

一场无情大火，烧毁我会初成立所租用的弘法道场。由于火神的眷顾一切被烧得荡然无存。但却奇蹟般的是庄严佛像及其四周经书未被波及。
The premises was destroyed by a fire that broke out but the Buddha statue and sutras were left intact.

乔迁到Still Road 的会所。在 Still Road 的会所，展开了一连串的活动，会员人数也不断的增长。 只可惜好景不常，会所因马路加宽工程的影响而再度被迫搬迁。
Started a series of activities after moving to the new premises at Still road and members began to increase. However, the society was forced to move again due to road-widening works.

物色到在笌笼8巷的会址。
A new location at Lorong 8 Geylang was identified.

于光明山普觉禅寺举办了一场大规模的短期出家。
Conducted the first short term Buddhist Novitiate program at Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery.

于金马仑三宝万佛寺举办了第二场大规模的短期出家。

Conducted the second short term Buddhist Novitiate program at Sam Poh Temple at Cameron Highlands.

大衆又被迫搬迁至笌笼九巷。
The society was forced to move to Lorong 9 Geylang.

举办弘法大会恭请台湾上慧下律法师于金文泰体育场主讲，每晚约有2万至3万人出席听讲。
Organised a large scale Dharma teaching event at Clementi Stadium with Venerable Hui Li from Taiwan as main speaker. The audience turnout was approximately between 20,000 to 30,000.

我们于武吉巴督（Bukit Batok）体育场举办了一个弘法大会，恭请上演下培法师与上淑下一法师主讲。
Organised another large scale Dharma event at Bukit Batok stadium and invited Venerable Yen Pei and Venerable Shu Yi as main speakers.

主办了一个全国首办最大规模的“供僧300”之弘法大会。
Organised the largest Dharma event in Singapore “Dana 300”.

本会会史上之一个转捩点，我们第一次购买与拥有自己的会所。这次新会所是在笌笼22巷，门牌25号的一座三层楼高之建筑物。
A major turning point for the society as the society finally purchased a three-storey building at No. 25 Lorong 22 Geylang as its own premises.

于新会所举办了“九周年会庆”暨乔迁会所双庆典礼，并很荣幸邀请到新加坡惹兰勿刹集选区国会议员白振华先生，新加坡佛教总会秘书长上明下义法师，新加坡阿难陀，弥陀雅拉玛及泰佛寺主持班那禅卫士法师（超坤）联合主持开幕剪彩仪式。
The moving-in ceremony was held in conjunction with the Society’s Ninth Anniversary. It was an honor to have invited Peh Chin Hua, Member of Parliament for Jalan Besar GRC; Venerable Shi Ming Yi Secretary-General of Singapore Buddhist Federation and Venerable Chao Khun Phra Tepsiddhivides, Chief Abbott of Wat Ananda Metyarama Thai Buddhist Temple to grace and officiate the Opening and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony.

Invited Venerable Amatha Gavesi to teach Samatha and Vipassana Meditation classes.

以配合本会弘扬全面佛法之宗旨，本会引进藏传佛教，恭请喇荣五明佛学院的慈城罗珠堪布开示宁玛派大圆满前行。
Invited Khenpo Tsultrim Lodro from Serthar Larung Five Sciences Buddhist Institute in Tibet (Larung Gar) to teach the preliminary foundation practices of Dzogpa Chenpo.

于当年假后港体育场举办了另一次弘法大会，恭请到上广下超法师与上文下静法师主讲。
Organised another Dharma teaching at the Hougang Stadium and invited Venerable Guang Chao and Venerable Wen Jing as main speakers.

恭请到喇荣五明佛学院的法王如意宝吉美朋措法王莅临于鸿福中心 (The Concourse)主持“藏传法会”，传授宁玛传承的甚深密法灌顶、口传及修法要诀。让更多本地人了解依循藏传佛教次第修学，提升心灵达到自利利他境界。
Invited His Holiness Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche from (Larung Gar) to transmit the empowerment, oral transmission and teachings of Dzogpa Chenpo.

恭请南传内观禅修大师噶印卡大师（S.N. GOENKA) 教导禅修班。
Invited Mr S. N. Goenka to teach meditation classes.

我会有鉴于欲激起佛教音乐 艺术的涟漪，在几位艺术前辈的协助下，举办了一个“听”佛教交响乐音乐晚会的演出，而启发更多佛教团体开始主办类似的表演。
With the assistance of various senior artistes, the Society organised a Buddhist orchestra symphony concert.

我会于西马之金马伦高原主办了第一届佛学营。
Organised the first Dharma camp in Cameron Highlands.

Invited Khenchen Khenpo Namdrol to teach Dzogchen

特邀台湾著名郑振煌教授带领佛学营及多场佛学讲座。同年还举办一场汇集了国内外法师，上果下辉法师，上广下超法师，上远下青法师，上演下培法师，上文下静法师的弘法大会，更是带动其他佛教团体争相效法。
Invited Mr. Zheng Zhen Huang of Taiwan to conduct Dharma Camp and give a series of talks. At the same year, organised a large scale Dharma teaching event comprising Venerables from local and overseas. The Venerables include Venerable Guo Hui, Venerable Guang Chao, Venerably Yuan Qing, Venerable Yen Pei, Venerable Wen Jing etc.

再度于柔佛新山之Austin Hill 假日俱乐部主办第二届佛学营。
Organised the second Dharma camp in Austin Hill, Johor Malaysia.

买下隔邻25A使活动面积增加。
Purchased the neigbouring unit, 25A to increase space for activities.

我会亦主办了一个别开生面之华严法会，以南、北、藏传，三种形式为佛友们祈福与超荐， 获得各界人士之赞同与支持。
The society broke new grounds by inviting monastics of the Theravada, Mahayana and Tibetan to jointly preside over the Avataṃsaka Sutra Puja ceremony.

于Desaru主办了第三次佛学营与止观静坐营。
Organised the third Dharma camp in Desaru Malaysia.

办了印度朝圣之旅。

Organised pilgrimage trip to India.

办了瑜伽排毒营。

Organised Yoga Detox retreat.

开始对会所大规模装修进行研究及探讨。后经专业人士的分析和建议，也将重建方案纳入考量的范围。

Began to study and explore a large-scale renovation of the clubhouse. After the analysis and recommendations by professionals, the reconstruction plan was mooted.

通过会员大会，落实重建计划。
The motion for rebuilding was passed during the AGM to proceed with the construction of the new building.

搬入临时会所芽笼24A巷12号。
Moved into temporary premises at Lorong 24A Geylang.

新大厦开幕当天进行了剪彩与大佛开光仪式，并很荣幸的邀请到新加坡佛教总会会长广品大和尚为当天的主宾。

The Grand Opening Ceremony consists of ribbon cutting and consecration of the Big Buddha statue, presided over by our Guest-of-Honor Most Venerable Seck Kwang Phing, President of the Singapore Buddhist Federation.   The ribbon cutting ceremony was jointly performed by Most Venerable Seck Kwang Phing, President of Singapore Buddhist Federation;  Most Venerable Hui Siong, Secretary General of the World Buddhist Sangha Council; Most Venerable N Sumana Thero, Secretary-General of Singapore Buddhist Federation; Most Venerable Yuan Qing from Pingtung Taiwan; Most Venerable Seck Guo Hui; Religious Advisor Most Venerable Seck Yuan Qing; Religious Advisor Venerable Seck Fa Ming; President Mr Johnny Lye; 1^st Vice President Mr Ng Hoo Seng; 2^nd Vice President Mr Lim Chiang How; Generous Benefactor  Mr See Kok Eng  and Generous Benefactor Mr Low Chui Heng.

The consecration of the Big Buddha was jointly performed by Venerable Kwang Phing, President of Singapore Buddhist Federation; Venerable Hui Siong, Secretary General of the World Buddhist Sangha Council; Venerable Yuan Ching, Religious Advisor of People’s Buddhism Study Society; Venerable Hong Zhen, Abbot of Fayin Temple (United States of America) and Venerable Xin Li, Abbot of Ji Le Temple (Kao Shiung, Taiwan).
